Nationals 2003 - Herbie & Dennis Take It

Winning 3 out of seven races, with a worst 6th position, ET the (very) std Hunter 19, carried off the silverware at the 2003 Hunter Nationals, hosted by Henley Midmar Yacht Club this weekend.
Consistency is the name of the game in sailing, and these two have it in chunks.

Coming in 2nd overall, was the Veteran team of Tim Kiln and Rob Barker - two HMYC stalwarts who only ever sail competitively at Hunter Provincials or Nationals. In my team appraisals prior to the regatta I tipped them to blow "hot and cold" but win one race at least. Well they ran "Hot and Warm" and won their race, and sailed consistently well enough to take home silver.

Chasing them hard, were three boats, any one of which could have been there but for one or two poor races out of the seven completed. Tony and Jason on Odin's Eye were the guys to take Bronze, after achieving a 4,7,1,2,3,5,4.
Interestingly, five different boats scored a 1st position in the regatta.
